Unveiling Injustice: The Urgent Need for Educational Equality in Kalat .In the era of the 21st century, our world undergoes constant development. This progress is made achievable through the indispensable tool of education, which is essential for every individual. However, a significant predicament persists in the remote regions of Pakistan, where the populace is denied one of their fundamental entitlements – the right to education.
I would like to share my perspective on the obstacles that need to be tackled. One of the prominent challenges faced by the remote and historically significant town of Kalat in Balochistan province is the lack of education. Regrettably, this issue remains one of the most urgent concerns. The marginalized communities in Kalat have limited access to quality education due to the absence of suitable opportunities.
The main objective of this article is to emphasize the urgent requirement for a university in Kalat, with a particular focus on the importance of affordable higher education in uplifting the lives of the underprivileged population in Kalat. Education serves as a powerful tool that can bring about positive changes in societies and break the cycle of poverty. While Kalat provides primary education, students who aspire to pursue higher education encounter significant obstacles due to the absence of a university. This hampers their access to better employment opportunities, economic empowerment, and personal growth. The youth in Kalat face immense difficulties in pursuing higher education outside the region due to financial limitations, limited resources, and geographical remoteness.
The ongoing educational disparity between urban and rural areas of the Province is attributed to the inability of numerous students to relocate to cities housing renowned universities like Khuzdar University, LUAWMS, University of Balochistan, and several others in Quetta.
As far as I am aware, Kalat is a conventional locality where women are not permitted by their families to pursue professional studies outside the city. Consequently, this leads to a halt in education at a very early stage. In my opinion, this is a notable setback for this particular region.Unveiling Injustice: The Urgent Need for Educational Equality in Kalat .
