RAWALPINDI -Unveiling the Significance of the Right to Vote in Pakistan. General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, extended his congratulations to the nation, government, and the Election Commission of Pakistan for the successful conduct of the general election.
The top general conveyed his congratulations to political parties and all successful candidates, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) stated that the act of exercising the right to vote demonstrated their dedication to a democratic system that is both free and unrestricted.
Gen Asim further emphasized that the success of the election was attributed to the collective efforts of the media, civil society, administration, and the judiciary.
The Army Chief emphasized that democracy and elections are means to fulfill the needs of the people.
On February 8, a multitude of Pakistani citizens flocked to polling stations in order to cast their votes and choose a fresh administration, all while grappling with the challenges of skyrocketing inflation and instances of violence.
