In a discussion with Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliky, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, the minister highlighted the progress made in the preparations for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage. The minister emphasized that Pakistani pilgrims can now conveniently fulfill their Saudi Visa biometrics requirements from the comfort of their own homes.
Aneeq Ahmed stated that the objective of implementing unique measures is to enhance the support provided to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims this year. He further mentioned that the preparations for Hajj are being carried out efficiently and ahead of the predetermined timeline.
During the meeting, Al Maliky expressed his congratulations to the Pakistan Hajj Mission for being acknowledged as one of the top three countries to receive awards.
Aneeq Ahmed’s commitment to ensuring a seamless Hajj experience and his efforts in assisting the pilgrims were highly appreciated. In addition, he expressed admiration for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and the Pakistan Hajj Mission for their exceptional services related to Hajj.
It should be emphasized that Pakistan has already carried out the ballot for the pilgrims who submitted their applications through the government Hajj scheme.

In regards to the Long Hajj, it spans a duration of 38-42 days, including an 8-day stay in Medinah. Individuals traveling from the South region, such as Karachi and Sukkhur, will be required to pay Rs 10,65,000. On the other hand, those originating from other cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Sialkot, and Faisalabad will need to pay Rs 10,75,000.
The Long Hajj package is available for Sponsorship scheme applicants at a cost of $3765 in the South Region and $3800 in the North Region.
The Short Hajj package offers a cost of Rs 11,40,000 for regular Hajj applicants in the South region, whereas in the North region, the cost is Rs 11,50,000. This scheme ensures that the Hajj pilgrimage will span a duration of 20-25 days.
The cost for the Short Hajj under the Sponsorship Scheme is $4015 USD for the South region and $4050 for the North region.
The government had additionally requested the assistance of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in order to initiate awareness campaigns aimed at attracting a greater number of applicants. However, the prevailing inflation in the country is evidently dissuading Muslims from applying for the spiritual journey.
