Kashmiri perspective: India’s Republic Day as a day of mourning

This observance serves as a means to express their discontent and opposition towards India’s continuous denial of their fundamental democratic right to self-determination.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom organizations have issued a call for the observance of the day.

There will be a comprehensive strike observed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir, accompanied by anti-India demonstrations taking place in Azad Kashmir and various world capitals.

In the meantime, India has escalated its efforts to control the situation in the region by implementing a stringent lockdown and increasing the number of check-posts. These measures aim to ensure security through thorough inspections.
