The AML leader was apprehended by Rawalpindi police a week ago, following the rejection of his bail plea in the May 9 violence case. He was taken into custody outside the court premises, as his bail application was dismissed in the case filed against him at the New Town Police station for his involvement in the violent incident.
On May 9, a multitude of PTI supporters forcefully entered numerous military installations and public properties following the arrest of former party chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
